Michael Tal, MD, MBA is a practicing interventional radiologist in Hadassah Medical center in Israel. He is the primary inventor, co-founder and Board Member of Embrace Medical (2022) Tacc Access (2022) VenaCore (2018) Empress medical (2018), and ReVamp Medical (2016). Dr. Tal is also inventor and co-founder of Pristine Access Technologies (2016), acquired by BD in 2020, AVmedical (2012), acquired by Medtronic in 2019, Accurate Medical (2015), acquired by Guerbet in 2018, Contramed LLC (2006), acquired by Sebela Pharmaceuticals in 2018, Vascular Insights (2005), acquired by Merit in 2018, as well as Access Scientific (2004), acquired by Smiths Medical in 2020. Dr. Tal co-founded Access Medical Ventures in 2010 and serves as its Managing Partner. He has over 200 patents to his name, as well as several medical devices in various stages of development some with regulatory approval and sold in the market. His inventions span the fields of Interventional Radiology, Nephrology, Gynecology, Urology, Cardiology and Intensive care. Dr. Tal earned his medical degree from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, did his radiology residency in Hahnemann MCP (now Drexel University) in Philadelphia (1995) and completed an Interventional Radiology fellowship at Yale University (1999). He worked at Yale as an Associate Professor until 2009. Dr. Tal also holds a business degree from Yale University (2007).
