Dr. Saad completed his medical school, internal medicine, and nephrology training at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He served a nephrologist with the United States Air Force in San Antonio, Texas, and subsequently at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where he was an assistant professor of medicine and medical director of dialysis services. Since 1999 he has been in private practice with Nephrology Associates, PA in Wilmington, Delaware. He is an attending physician at the Christiana Care Health System in the Department of Medicine, and Chief of the Nephrology Section. As an interventional nephrologist, his practice focuses on management of venous and arteriovenous hemodialysis access. He has been involved in design, execution, and publication of numerous device trials, and is medical director of the Nephrology Associates clinical research program.
Dr. Saad is Past-President of the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology (ASDIN). He has been active locally and internationally promoting optimal hemodialysis vascular access care through practice, education, and clinical research. He is also highly engaged in State and National politics, advocating for legislation supportive of physicians and patients.
